Our purpose

Make the UAE easier to understand through useful context, practical decision frameworks and access to original sources.

Editorial standards

We distinguish original educational perspectives from external news. Official sources are linked explicitly. Regulatory content should identify jurisdiction and readers should confirm current requirements with the responsible authority.

Commercial transparency

Books featured on this site are authored by Gabriel Nicolaev – CyGuru and link to his store at cyguru.com. Editorial perspectives are educational; they do not establish individual legal, tax or investment suitability.

Data and privacy

Weather and currency tools request data from external providers. The advertising submission form stores contact and campaign details in a private review inbox for assessment and follow-up; see the submission data notice on the Advertise page. No marketing subscription is created by submitting a campaign.

How to read our dates and sources

The publication date records the first edition. An updated date identifies a substantive editorial revision. “Sources last checked” records the most recent stated source review; it does not guarantee that an authority has made no later changes. Unchanged guides retain their earlier verification dates.

Official announcements, editorial analysis and hypothetical examples are distinguished. Source links identify the authority responsible for the procedure or announcement. The UAE Brief also shows the original event or announcement date separately from its edition date.

Corrections and changed requirements

Use the report link on an article to identify a passage and, where possible, the newer official source. The reporting page prepares an email draft; it does not submit a report automatically. A verified substantive correction should update the article and its revision record. Broken links and formatting changes do not imply a new factual review.

Planning tools and browser storage

My UAE Journey stores checklist progress in this browser when local storage is available. Each path can be reset. The property calculators process inputs in the browser. The journey does not establish eligibility or authorisation; its checkmarks record the reader’s own planning progress.

Saved reading and search

When you save an article, its link and furthest reading position are stored in this browser. You can remove each item from My Reading. This list is not synced to an account and does not store offline article copies. Search runs against the publication index in the browser; this implementation does not send search terms to a search service.
