Abu Dhabi will host the EuroLeague Final Four again in 2027 and 2029, extending its connection with European club basketball and giving fans an early date around which to research a future UAE visit.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Euroleague Basketball announced the agreement on 27 October. The immediate planning detail concerns the 2027 edition; equivalent dates for 2029 should not be inferred.
What has been confirmed
The 2027 Final Four is scheduled for Etihad Arena on 28 and 30 May. Semifinals will take place on Friday 28 May. Sunday 30 May will include the adidas NextGen EuroLeague Final followed by the championship game.
The return follows Abu Dhabi’s first hosting of the tournament in May 2025. The announcement concerns both the 2027 and 2029 editions, but it is not itself a ticket release, price list or travel package.

What the announcement means for a visitor
An early event date creates an opportunity to compare options before pressure builds around a preferred itinerary. It does not require an immediate non-refundable booking. Fans can first decide whether the trip is primarily about attending every game, seeing a particular team or combining basketball with a wider Abu Dhabi visit.
Those are different travel decisions. A family may need a manageable daily schedule; a supporter travelling with friends may care more about seats and transport coordination. A ticket purchase also needs to be matched with the correct competition session rather than relying on the general phrase “Final Four weekend”.
CYUAE’s practical interpretation is to establish the event commitment before increasing the travel commitment. A hotel reservation, flight and game ticket each have their own cancellation or transfer conditions. The costs should be considered together.
What businesses should avoid assuming
For hotels, restaurants and transport providers, the hosting agreement is a forward planning signal. It is not a verified occupancy forecast or a guarantee that a particular business will benefit. Offers should be built around a service that can actually be delivered, with clear dates and terms.

Marketing that implies an official event partnership should only be used where that relationship genuinely exists. Being located near a venue is different from being an authorised event supplier.
The next information to verify
Fans should watch the organiser and venue channels for ticket availability, session details and conditions. Anyone building a larger trip should separately confirm travel-entry requirements for their circumstances. The confirmed dates offer a starting point; official ticketing information will make the plan actionable.
